I believe it was some kind of a trick test if she'd fight the current or just go along with it. She went along with it and passed so yeah. The answer is to stay and go along with the water, I guess.
I think the test's about 'accepting' and 'embracing' water instead of running away from it and treating it as just for skills, correct me if I'm wrong
