So... this story lost me a LONG time ago... I don't know why but I kept reading it. Maybe I was being stubborn, maybe I actually liked this story, or maybe I was trying to find a good reason to continue this story... now that it's finished, I've realized that this story has good merit but... I didn't like it. There's something about the characters that didn't work for me. They all had their motivations and quirks but it felt kind of shallow. The way Lindsay was wishy-washy, the way the Prince was using her but wanted her at the same time (dude, stop trying to tie people to you when you're toxic), the way these characters are crazy and dangerous but context is not provided for their shift in character. Something was off for me and I felt the development of the plot and characters were not on the same page. It was a great read but... I don't know... it left a feeling of incompleteness. The rushed ending didn't help either. Anyone feel the same? Or am I just being too critical?
