tbh... i prefer the brother over the ML since lately every ML is the same black-haired emo broody guy... i just hate how the author made it so that the brother becomes selfish and horrible instead of simply a caring prince. imo he can be possessive, but the author just wrote him to go too far & that's the worst thing about it. he could've been such a good character, so i still feel mercy towards him.

here's a few spoilers since i just read a lot of the translated novel...
- the prince is half brothers with the ML. the ML's dad had an affair with the deceased empress. the emperor killed her off by using her nut allergy (i think). she died bc of her nut allergy though. the emperor basically hates the prince because he's from that affair.
- the prince is basically a yandere siscon who gets jealous of anyone else is "taking" away his "peace" which is the FL.
- Olivia basically has no interest in the ML & the ML doesn't either. they both like the FL (Olivia's like is platonic ofc).
- the FL gets the power of telekinesis but she can really just stop time with that power and she's theorizing that she can even teleport with it or something. she had to sacrifice half of her lifespan to get this power. whenever she uses the power, her back shows a tattoo of black roses.
- the second ML is a magician.
- the FL reciprocates the ML's love and it's soooo passionate tbh... like the ML at one point describes himself as a monster who wants more and more when. he starts getting a little (of the FL).
- the FL gets kidnapped like a shit ton and the center of politics is around her and she even acts as the emperor's temporary regent at one point.
- she's so fucking competent and badass. she's super skilled. i don't think she's messed up once.
