Yeah, nope.

Wait, Judas is not a father figure but the ML? Alright folks, I am out of here! Don't bash people who are not onboard with this. It's weird that such a young girl, 14 is introduced to such an older ML who raises her then proceeds to date her. It's weird. Might not be grooming by Judas, but it is active grooming by the author. The author has no business introducing such a young girl to a parent figure then casting the parental figure as a romance interest. It's wrong and holds the same energy as marrying off 10-16 year old girls to old men like the old days.
There is grooming. But by the author.

Right?? Like really, I can't see Judas as a love interest moreover, any of the males so far, Idel has children, Antioch is married and Judas just looks and acts like the typical cold but gets sweeter tyrant dad

I don't know what is it but the large age gap plus the fact that Judas is the guardian of the FL, and she sees him as a parent just rubs me wrong

I don't think he is the ML all I feel is that the "love" she shows him is not the kind of love in like a relationship but more as a person who shows a caring side towards her or as one of the only people who have shown her kindness. Not all stories like this have to have a ML or be a romantic story but more of a slice of life story

Also it wasn't uncommon in times like this in the past to have big age gaps in marriages because they were all political. And it's still to early in the story to even say he's the Male lead.

Just out of curiosity, how do y'all feel about The Tyrant's Guardian Is an Evil Witch? It's kind of a similar relationship except the guardian is a woman instead (and vice versa)? Just asking cause I don't see many comments like these about that work.

personally I stopped reading it when it became evident that he was the ML.
if I had to guess, I would say people are more partial to pairings with omnipotent/supernatural lovers like in the title you've suggested.

to add on nobody really talked about The Ancient Magus' Bride, Twilight etc. to me people seem to be fine as long as the lover in the pairing is supernatural

If that's the case then since he seems to be "supernatural" because he's not human doesn't that mean it would also apply? If you apply it to one thing it shouldn't it apply to other's that are similar?

It should apply. These 100 or even 1000 year old fossils have no business creeping on teenage girls. From Twilight to Vampire Diaries. These are 100 year old adults. Age is more than appearance. It is a lived experience, years. You are 100 or 1000 whether you look 16 or otherwise. It is all wrong. I feel like the fiction world, be it film or writing likes taking advantage of teenage girls.

But how has her uncle in any way been weird like that? Yes age gaps may be weird to you but lots of relationships are like that, I don't with underage kids being eith older people but we also have to take in the fact that this is based on an era where this was common.

It is exactly like you said. Her uncle. He should not be her romantic interest. That is what I have seen the spoilers say. That he ends up as her romantic partner. If that is the case, the author is grooming the girl. Nobody should raise a kid then later on date them.

You say she's grooming her when this is a work of fiction, nothing in this is real and like I've said it was common for this sort of thing in the past doesn't make it right. Now a days you see it a lot in shows that do the same yet no one speaks on that, if your going to call this grooming then what of shows that do the same but also involve living, breathing people? Not characters that only exist on paper or in writing? A lot of people argue that it effects how people think and to be honest if something like a fake story can make actual people actually try grooming then they already had something wrong with them. If your not comfortable with it then that's fine, just don't bash people for liking or reading it because they know that it's fiction and they know that it stays fiction. Also please don't think I'm trying to be rude I'm just speaking my mind and have nothing against those who dislike it.

Where have I bashed people for liking it? My initial comment said 'don't bash people for not liking it'. Also, what an incredible argument. You think we shouldn't complain about this because there are other shows/movies that people don't complain about? How do you know I am not complaining about them? This is a manga site. I will air my views about the manga I am currently reading at the site the manga is at. The logic that because someone is doing something bad or worse out there that we should let it slide is so weird to me.
Second, fiction does not make it removed from reality. Fiction shapes the world. When something is portrayed in fiction, people in irl can internalize that. For example, black people were portrayed in Hollywood as violent for decades. This led to the believe that black people are indeed violent hence antiblackness intensified around the world.
The author groomed that girl. Introduced her to a parent figure, sets the parent figure to date her eventually. That is sick. There are no two ways about it.
Just like who rape in yaoi is normalized, young teen girls partnering with old men is also normalized. Hence Twilight, Vampire Diaries. These are the consequences of a patriarchal world.
Trust me we will not see this on a movie and think, oh that's okay. Wherever I meet the story, I will have an issue with it. I am not selective. Whether boy or girl, no parental figure should be romantically involved with a kid they raise.
If you enjoy it that's on you. So many others are enjoying it as well. I for one thought it was going to be a cute father-daughter/guardian-daughter relationship before finding out the spoilers.
