I am having this type of hairstyle for the first time and I can seriously tell you....It annoys me sooo much! My eyes, my forehead, my nose! All itchyyyyy! I already decided to change this style next time I go to the hairdresser. So for me it was not the best choice of style! ╮(￣▽￣)╭
I think it depends on hair type too, I guess. I've had long bangs over my face for years now and my face feels a little naked if I go outside with them clipped up. They're pretty comfortable and sometimes you can use them to avoid eye contact.
It's not emo or anything my mom just gave me that haircut since I was a kid (bangs with a layered cut) so I'm just used to it.
