I think the people that where behind the car crash a few chapters ago want to kill Xie now. His driver was supposed to drive the car into the water, so that he would drown. But he realised that his driver was acting strange, so I guess he made driver send the empty car into the water and now he might go into hiding. To make a plan against the people who want to kill him.
