I know right. He never gives him a definite answer . Like I would be with u forever or anything and Ryujin looked happy to be a celestial. It pisses me off. The poor guy is constantly worried and he doesn't do anything to assure him.
Yesss and Ryujin has a habit of speaking over or assuming what Imae is worried about since Imae is one of few words. It’s something I noticed re reading (like when he assumed he was scared of water or when they were in the bathtub and Imae said he didn’t like it because it was too spacious. Ryujin tried to say that it was because of his fear of water again and Imae said that’s not it and Ryujin cut him off saying he would bathe him near the edges next time). It’s a consistent pattern where Imae tries to communicate but is either cut off by Ryujin or cut off due to plot reasons.
I feel because of their lack of communication .... I can't feel the romance through actions like ryujin was so conflicted with himself when he was trying to find out if he was really in love . But I don't really see it in his actions like he treats him more like a friend Than a lover even tho they have sex and "talk about their emotions". U expect them to act all different and lovely dovey but they're rarely like that. I vaguely feel the romance.But It's probably because there's a lot of actions. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Personally? I do not think it is because Imae does not like him any more but that he loves him too much- Ryujin has been giving him vague answers on what he wants to do with his fate which is putting a strain on Imae. Plus Imae’s trauma deals with people leaving him/abandoning him and Ryujin has not said “I will stay with you” which is what Imae wants to hear the most. He is anxious and nervous about losing someone he loves.
