the tips of a baby's finger can grow back if cut. i've read about that somewhere. doesn't work with adults though. that's y maomao still have all her fingers but her mom didn't, although both of their fingers were cut.
first time i see it used in a manga though. yeah, i'm one of those geeky kids that likes to memorize weird science trivias.
