I've read about this panel (not sure if it was the official art) Khaki was taking care of the old Ino who was lying on some hospital bed? (Not sure if it's a regular or hospital bed) and it was beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. Khaki told Ino how beautiful he was despite his old age and I just cried.

We all know Ino wants to die, this is because he wants to go to the afterlife to reunite with loved ones he has lost (half-brother/sister in law etc) & at the same time reassure them that their child grew to be happy. Having put this in the manhwa I feel the author will not have Ino turn into a vampire over this simple fact.
I theorise that these two will end up out of these two options:
1. Khaki is very involved in research & has stated he is desperate to find a way for vampires to die. Therefore, once finding a solution to killing vampires he will turn Ino into a vampire because Ino then has the choice to die later in life as a vampire if he wishes.
2. Khaki will not turn Ino into a vampire and instead will live his life alongside him until Ino is old and ready to die. Then, once finding a solution to killing vampires, he will kill himself to die alongside Ino because he is extremely old & probably wants to pass on.
