I think they're someone else's. As for saying she's a corspe, I think the jewels is able to let him see things normal people can't, that's why he said that.

Still wouldn't make sense on why they're a different color though. I think Novelty is on the right path. They're someone else's eyes and they just saw something they weren't supposed to. It makes sense why both of them were shocked/scared of each other if that is the case.
