Im the biggest slut for poly couples but this,
It's really uncomfortable and disconcerting. I know this story is totally meant for fluffs and giggles but throwing such a complicated thing and not even glossing about it for like even one time??!!???!!!!! What the hell happened?????? Did the seme just completely dumped everyone?? Extremely unlikely. Was he fucking everyone while literally waiting for the uke?????? Totally sickening
Not to mention the uke is very obviously mono with some possessive tendencies such a setup and environment is really unhealthy

Also some problems, seme thought uke was a WOMAN what did he do the first thing they met literally hug the uke tight, its not really much considering they are children, even thought it was kinda cute, I thought it was some culture thingy but add in the fact that the seme actually travelled in several countries and also he's really experienced in 'that' area. Hugging what you thought a WOMAN right on the first day and who you have romantic or even sexual feelings for is EXTREMELY INAPPROPRIATE. And the seme literally fell in love right on the FIRST DAY yeah not much compared to other stories but they really never developed any relationship after that, in what I see.
Lemme break it down to you, uke and seme met, seme fell in love, seme confessed, uke afraid of seme feeling bad replies ambiguously and kissing while at it, then, have sex in the bathroom. All is fine and well compared to other stories the real problem is they didn't establish ANYTHING at all after all that its just. Author introduces someone, jealous uke, uke realizing (thinking) that he likes seme, have
penetrative sex. Still fine, still redeemable compared to other stories then I just kept reading till like the end hoping there would be any development but no, author literally fucked me
Also inviting his gay partner on a strictly no gay country??!!?!!!??!??!!! I don't fucking know what to react they could be imprisoned or even KILLED its so fucking frustrating just how stupid and selfish seme is

All there is is just a total smut book disguised as a feel good fluffy cute story
Hell I've read tons of total smut mangas with even better plot development and execution and EVEN better love stories

It was really exciting considering it was the first poc mc I read but it just came off as a total disappointment

I don't even know how people can even label this as a 'fav' story it's all just problematic.

Also I just wanna say I FUCKING love semes hair ughhhhhhhhhh and the dick piercing fucking God please kill me I can't describe how much I love it and ukes extremely cute and secretly lewd it's just so hootttttttttttttt

It's fine as a smut manga but as romance??? doesn't pass the vibe check

I mean, it is only a point of view ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭. Many people are critical while reading and like to just vent in the comments and that's okay, I think. There are clear cultural differences so it does seem a little off in some aspects. But then again, it is fiction, just think of it however you like(〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

I totally get what you mean, I feel like the author kinda read an article on a tribe and wanted to incorporate it into a story without doing follow-up research. Unfortunately A LOT of Yaois show off toxic relationships as normal as well....

"They look clearly happy". So do a lot statutory rape victims. Doesn't mean there isn't a power structure, manipulation, etc. Involved.

I read through it all just fine. If you were gonna reply, the least you could do was read their full point. Luca's country is against gay rights. It's dumb and dangerous to bring Makoto there AS HIS GAY LOVER. They could be killed OR WORSE. That's what this person's point was. As well as that mako is mono and Luca is poly, and this was never talked about or dealt with even though it's a major issue.

The author clearly just wanted a mixed race smut-mag but sprinkled in some "wholesome" vibes to make it digestible for their target younger female audience. Unfortunately, many of these "wholesome" relationships are very toxic, possessive, controlling, and even downright abusive. It basically just reinforces the idea "they hurt you because they love you" which is often dangerous advice to give to an audience that's already super susceptible to domestic abuse.

    Yes
But I don't really care about those stories, even I devour those stories without even a care, because those stories are downright toxic and people could tell in a blink of an eye that that relationship isn't healthy but this was even labeled romance and disguised as a wholesome fluffy story
The thing that ticked me off the most is the people who could even label this as a really healthy, wholesome and a sought-for relationship not even realizing the hidden toxicness of it
I was hoping to add a different perspective, hence the length of the shit I wrote, in contrast to how most people read it, realizing that not everything is as perfect as they seem but clearly it all just falls on deaf ear
They are clearly so disillusioned I like wrote a whole ass essay proving points about how toxic their relationship was and the fact that I would still hear the 'they are clearly happy and NOT IN A TOXIC RELATIONSHIP' like UNDER IT is ughhhhh

Noooooo I'm most totally aware that this is fiction but not everyone can distinguish that y'know
I've know tons of people referencing their favorite romance book on their relationship, gradually destroying it on the way
And the fact that this is labeled and disguised as a fluffy wholesome romance is the real problem compared to mangas with blatant toxic dynamics

But those toxic relationships isn't as wholesome as this and people in the comments would have point all that out already but I can't even see ONE comment like this and the fact that most users of this site are teenagers terrifies me

Yes yes thank you I couldnt emphasize all that enough
Bringing his gay lover on that country I could bet you 10 bucks MANY people would even call that oh so dreamy wholesome and very sweet

And the poly mono situation is aghhhh I can't help what their relationship would even look like in the long run talking from a IRL perspective
It's truly destructive imagine ur lover falling in love with other people while pinning u down on the bed, it doesn't diminish the fact that they also love you, but MOST if not all mono people aren't even open such dynamics thinking that its cheating imagine how destructive to that to both themselves

That is totally true, and I personally like reading long comments analyzing stories.

Very true. I would have disagreed saying it's fiction if it wasn't for the somewhat realistic(close to reality) kinda plot. Like somewhere or more like in many places the story lacks depth.
