Since yuuji is sukuna's vessel, there may come a time when they switch and sukuna completely takes over yuuji's body once he got all his fingers back. I guess they're thinking that it would be impossible to kill him once they let yuuji run free while consuming sukuna's fingers.
Yeah.. At least Gojo was there to keep Sukuna in check but now there's almost no one so it's understandable that they wanna kill Yuuji..
Ugh i feel like its going to take some time before gojo gets out of the box. The higher ups are not going to stop acting out now that he's sealed and they're probably going to do everything to keep him sealed away, unless maybe when sukuna takes over yuuji's body completely and no one can defeat him.

why they obsessed over killing yuuji? isn't it better if they utilize on using him by honing his skill tech or whatever it is? doesnt change the fact that enemies will still try to crush them even if they managed to kill yuuji. being cautious is one thing but, they should remember that they lost some of their veteran fighters. (ugh nanamin T﹏T ) it's so sad to see yuuji's depressed back in the aftermath of the fight. *hugs*
