Wait I’m confused can you explain

im guessing this person was the original uploader for this but someone took over without permission

This person has been stealing the my uploads for the past 2 months, already a year. I’ve been given the opportunity to upload this manwha the very beginning after the original uploader quit. Since then people have been uploading over me. I’ve lost my money quite a lot but still went with it. But this person won’t stop. Like ever I’ve said multiple times in my info page and on Instagram to not upload over me, but they’re to fucking stubborn, I’m so tired. I’m literally starting to quit right now.

Think it is the original scanlator perhaps. Mangago usually takes from other sites and scanlators and uploads stuff here (sometimes not leaving the credit page, if there is one), which tends to harm scanlators because there is no traffic on their page, which means if they keep a proper site, they cant keep it due to that, and the chances of it being discovered by original authors increase, which may lead to problems between scanlator and author-

Hey, original scanlator there? Something I have seen people do as to not have their scan work ripped off into aggregator sites is making a fake site page with watermark all over the content or bullshit written instead (or stuff out of order so it is unreadable). Then make a true page with a link hidden somewhere that leads to the webtoon (works for novels, so not sure if it works for manga and webtoons, but should do)

Another thing isto make a discord and lock your scanlation behind a password only those in discord know of, which should deal with bots as well and you have better control over it (think that is how k's secret scanlation managed not to have their uncensored version uploaded btw)

First option doesnt even need to have stuff in it, just a blank page can do too

Just to clear things up, in case other people don't know. Most 'popular' webtoons are already translated officially from paid websites like l e h z i n, t a p a s, and t a p p y t o o n. There are no fan translators/scanlators, just people who screen shot the ch and upload it over here. To the original uploader- sorry they're uploading over you! Your efforts are definitely appreciated.

Ahhh I see- I don't usually check if they are from places with an official translation, since I barely use these sites- It is nice to have this stuff known tho, haha~ I mostly automatically think it is a fan translation due to there being so many of them. (And yeah, hope the original uploader gets their efforts rewarded by having the second one not doing the over-upload anymore)

It's good to know especially if you ever want to support the actual author. Also, most uploaders usually leave the logo of the original site in the beginning or the end I'm surprised the last ch didn't have it.
