I thought it was male too!! Idk if it's actually female or not tho because I've read the Korean chapter and it doesn't specify, just uses "it". Korean doesn't use gendered personal pronouns so it's hard to tell. The translator could've made it up as I don't remember it ever being referred to as a "her", I guess we just have to wait for the official translation to come out...
