Just a thought, but maybe her father is in tighter with this crowd than she knows. He might even be a lead instigator. It could be why she's adopting a wait and see approach.
I think they are exactly on the opposite side and the father is just too naive and clueless :// He's too much of a good person to stand on the wrong side... :/

Well, she does seem to be incredibly passive for somebody whose previous life ended so violently, unless that's her fright reflex kicking in, leaving her frozen in perilous situations. I don't know why she can't have a straightforward discussion and at least explain to the werewolf and assassin, for example, that she doesn't want them to be slaughtered.
I dont get it... Why aint she open her mouth and say that the guy is dangerous??? Her father is so clueless... She would spare a lot of time and effort in the future!
