i think it's very weird (personal opinion!!!) how when some people thank the translators for uploading, like to say "translator-nim" or "translator-sama". like i get that what you're reading is originally in a specific language, but that doesn't mean that the translator are of that ethnicity. and even if they were, it's just weird. it doesn't bother anyone, i know, but idk it's just very unsettling for me in a way i can't really explain and i'm just wondering if anyone else thinks the same way haha.

    literally no one thinks the translator is of that ethnicity. people are just being cute because this site is mainly of japanese and korean works.

    Yeah it’s really not that deep... just a cute way of calling them, like oppa/sensei which most use when referring to characters too, we just get so caught up in what we read that we just start using same/similar terminology... nothing wrong with that, it’s adorable
