well i dont think its really like that i think its more of a i was always controlled as a kid and never got to do anything freely so for my kid ill let them do whatever they want and be independent but i still think this is child negelect and it isnt right

Oh yeah I also saw it has that, "it was I didnt want you to feel trapped, like me, so I gave you everything I could possibly imagine you'd need to be happy, so you could live your life without me perching on your shoulder." Which sadly lead to neglect and misunderstandings, so I drew a small connection that can easily be made and be relatable to most people in day-to-day life. Like more of a modern and/or poor persons view on the subject.
It's the same premise though he gave her everything he thought she would have needed and then left her on her own expecting her to be happy, it's the same. wheather it's a bunch of money or just a home and food
Not only is it similar in that aspect but it was also similar in the fact that both the parent I described in my original comment and him failed to see that parental love is important to praise you're child.
