Highly 8 is the most reasonable one. Can't argue with that but that again thats what make it very interesting. He remind me of the old veteren uncle who already seen enough to not care about anything but still in action from time to time.

You forgot one very obvious reason:
He wore it for 12 years, 24/7, so those clothes are part of him now.
8 Reasons as to why MC only wears the same type of clothes
1. He has only one pair of clothes and somewhat washes it everyday.
2. He only has the same type of clothing in this closet.
3. His clothes is stuck onto him and cannot be removed.
4. He’s too lazy to change.
5. Doesn’t know fashion
