I actually added some spoilers to my comment but it's not much so don't worry it's not even in order but Actually by getting rid of Emma we get rid of pretentious mielle she starts to show her worst sides more after Emma is hanged or the judge say's "off with her head" she even pushes her own dad off the stairs trying to frame Aria but the prince saves her

I'm glad that she chosen to take care of Emma first 'cause if she didn't it'll complicate the plan if she remained their. She's quiet a formidable opponent if she stay alive 'cause she have too much hatred for Aria.
