
In the novel jeanette didn't get as much coverage. If you read the novel the novel you realise a lot of scenes that focused on Athy and Claude's relationship and bond was trimmed or cut out in favor of putting the spotlight on Jeanette.
Of all people, Spoon chose to "build their character" she chose the least likable and dullest. Why not Athy's mother Diana?

honestly i'd like to read more about anastacius before aeternitas took over his body, but jennette lore is really good too. she's not "dull" or anything, it's interesting to know what would happen to her when she finds out the only reason for her existence is because aeternitas wants to control her body.
I'm sorry, I love Spoon and her work. But I'm not a fan of her slicing out key moments between Athy and Claude for the sake of giving Jeanette a bigger story arc and "character development". I've lost anticipation to read chapters.
