Maybe your got confuse. Most of their chapters mix the first timeline and current timeline so you need to read critically to understand each chapter. This timeline Jayna act as a goody goody character to Jayna but scheming behind her. In the past Jayna just give everytyhing and love Angela. I don't think our MC is stupid.

No offense but I just thought about the MC being kind of stupid. There were so many signs of Angela being shady (such as the rare necklace in the trash, her calling Jayna names in a different language which Jayna figured out after she learned it, etc.) but she wasn’t suspicious???? Nothing at all? I’m not sure whether to call this a plothole or just the MC being realllllly stupid. Also, I feel bad for the fiancé because it wasn’t his fault at all but he’s not the ml :(
