What I meant to say is, if he's not ready to commit to a relationship, he should blatantly say so in the first place. By subtly avoiding him, he seems like he's giving him hope, which is cruel considering he has intention to end it. He's obviously playing with his heart at this point, even though he doesn't even know it himself.
Well I don't know what you would describe it, but for me, giving someone hope for a relationship but actually not planning on it is playing with someone's heart. If he doesn't want relationship in the first place, he should just say so. Still giving the other party a hope is just plain cruel. I'm aware he doesn't even know what he's doing is bad in the first place, but I'm sure this won't end up pretty once the tutor find out he wants to back away. For me, I'd rather someone said blatantly they don't want to get involved with me so I can move on quickly, rather than giving me hope so I can fall harder. Don't know about you tho, but I'd be real upset.
