Ymir was a titan and she only has 13 years to live. So She was eaten passing down her titan powers to another not before confessing to Historia via letter that she loved her and wanted to marry her. Historia is married to a man and currently pregnant. If you watch the anime you would know why without me spoiling the major plot for you.
