Im a bit conflicted when i see eclis

ma'am could i get some spoilers ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Penelope almost maxed out eclis' affection and eclis was falling in love w her but for some reason, penelope failed to go back so she discarded eclis. Eclis 'betrayed' penelope by bringing the true lady back bec he wanted penelope to just run away w him. So penelope now hates his guts and eclis became more and more obsessed w her (hes the yandere type).

So basically i think penelope ruined eclis and abandoned him. But penelope is pitiful as well so im conflicted. Orz

After eclis brought yvonne, penelope hated eclis and didnt see him much and the duke kind of transferred eclis as yvonne's escort. The time limit for accumulating for the favorability ended and even tho eclis' favorability is almost maxed out, penelope was still in the game. The true lady is back and the family decided to introduce her at penelopes coming of age ceremony. Btw yvonne is a villain and has mind control power so she tricked derek in bringing her in during the ceremony to torment penelope. Yvonne prepared a plot where she would drink poison so penelope would be framed but penelope saw throught it and drank the poison herself bec shes tired of everyones shit. She almost died and went into coma tho she woke up eventually. Yvonne was also manipulating eclis to kill callisto so he can still have penelope. So penelope wanted to beat his ass even more.
Anw why im conflicted is bec penelope did seduce and use eclis as a tool and made him dependent on her but on the other hand, she did it to survive and go back to her own world where at least her circumstances are a bit better and she already got away w her shitty family.

I do agree that Penelope using Eclise was wrong and rather selfish. I don't hate her for it because she was doing it to survive, but she wasn't blameless either. She basically manipulated Eclise, found he couldn't give her what she wants and discarded him. Or at least, that's what your spoilers seemed to imply. Still, Eclise definitely went too far. I guess I'm just going to be unhappy during his arc. Sad, I genuinely liked him.

Tho I still feel sad abt eclis bec he thought he was helping penelope, seeing how miserable she was in that house and how he thought it would have been better if they just went away together. Oh well yanderes rly are ticking time bombs. Too bad for him penelope is not the compassionate and forgiving type.

Oh, that makes Eclis even more tragic and sympathetic because in his mind he was doing it to protect someone he loved. I truly wish Penelope would forgive him, but that's ultimately up to her. Still, I hope the novel gives him a happier ending.
