it's not flashbacks because Chris was a kid when he witnessed a murder.. Max is just imagining him.. I don't see how the panels were out of order..
The panels were originally out of order. So what you read in the beginning of the chapter (the murder) was originally at the end when I read it. Which is why I thought it was a flashback of the incident that just occurred & not something that happened years ago.
