xcept not really! If you honestly look at the details you realize that Sei never really was in love with Yoru in the first place and just used her to escape reality (dem Parents). Yoru was the one who introduced Sei to the concept of convenient relationships and Sei herself never even tried to get a girlfriend to this day. Haruki feelings towards Aya at first glance SEEM to be the exact same (heck they are even counterparts both being class reps, having names that are usually given to boys and of course aya naked picture = yoru old picture) but actually they're not!
Nah I'm sure sei was really in love with yoru, she's just hella crazy and really bad at dealing with her unrequited love. Cuz if her feelings were just escapism then it wouldn't have tormented her for 8 years. As for yoru I think she never liked sei romantically and fwb was as far as her feelings went
Oh yeah she took the rejection pretty well all things considered yup! Oh come on! She immidiately began destroying all her relationships behind her back before they even started fwb! And even after Yoru decided she must end it what did Sei do? Yup destroy all her remaining relationships isolating her completly none of her classmates even looked twice when she potentially would have killed her! As for Haruki she decided she didn't want to go the same route Sei went with Aya so there is that! My wish for the final chapter after a timeskip would be that Aya long since dumped her after becoming her new obsession but yeah sadly it's Ueda....
This all comes in full circle and the parallels is crazy. All of the relevant characters are experiencing what Sei’s experiencing. Sei being in love with Yoru and her feelings being unreciprocated same as Aya’s feelings towards Sei AND SO IS HARUKI’s feelings towards Aya.
This story is literally gays being a huge simp and unrecognized feelings. It’s painful bc we’ve been there lol
