Haha, you've definitely got a point there. I think maybe I'm frustrated because we keep hearing about how high profile and rich the boss is, but all we've seen him do is run a small restaurant (that doubles as a one-person brothel) and throw a bunch of money around. I want to see the boss doing powerful and dangerous things! Otherwise he seems like he's just an aggressively unpleasant but also hot guy who should be easier to get rid of.
I know this isn't gonna happen because this is a yaoi webtoon and the whole point is to show sex but if they really wanted to solve the debt problem with the boss, instead of making a bunch of pearls, couldn't they just... kill the boss? As far as we can tell, Juha owes money just to the boss, not to whatever organization he runs, since only the boss shows up to make sure Juha is making pearls and not any underlings or henchmen. Plus, whatever sum Juha still owes clearly isn't a huge deal to the boss, since his business seems to be running just fine, so if he were to die, I can't imagine anyone tracking Juha down to finish the debt. Like, hot evil boss is hot and he will probably live for a long time because he is hot, but until we see how deeply Juha is involved in whatever organization the boss is running, I'm going to continue to be convinced that it would be simpler to try to kill him than to try to pay him back, especially since he's being such a gross pervert about the whole thing.
