coz it's stressful for her to be taunted and teased by others. also, she hides it with socks and the extra fingers kinda serve no purpose so her parents got her a surgery to remove it. She's still a little girl then

yeah. I agree, but people are not always accepting especially towards something uncommon or abnormal
I have a baby cousin with fingers like that but she had a surgery to remove the extra finger
