Jajaha I understand your point but he is not wrong, he doesn't know anything about the past of the blond and logically speaking (just from what he knows and not what we know) he shouldn't trust the man that used to hit and threatened him.
Another thing is that we should be wary of people but is equally unhealthy to distrust everyone
