I actually think, as given the fact that everyone is totally chill fucking around, that he didn't consider himself a rapist or bad person, he's moody but surprisingly loyal once he felt love for the first time.
I love how their relationship developed tho, so glad I continued reading, ngl the first chapter gave me mixed feelings.
