Only a heartless person would not feel bad about making the puppy sad. He's beating himself up no doubt. But seriously, just when they were starting to get on the same page she had to go say something stupid and he had to hang on it like it's what she meant. Why can't they hang on the lovey dovey shit for a bit longer?
