i completely agree. especially since the kid is literally a minor like ppl are trying to say he might be a senior (18) but how they portrayed it with the whole summer vacation thing it seemed like he would’ve been looking at another year of hs. even tho japan’s consent age is different to the US it’s still really concerning how the manga portrayed a man (old enough to go into clubs/drink) is dating a kid. everything just feels really groomy when the kid feels like he has to “take responsibility” for helping someone. like yeah there’s worse out there but the point still stands that it felt like the kid didn’t know any better..
I mostly agree with u, but character devleopment will never change that the seme is a rapist, and the uke didn't seem traumatized at all when any irl person would be. Why do mangakas always do this :/ its so fucking pathetic.
this^^^ imma clarify a say mostly agree as well. not forcing yourself onto someone else should be the bare minimum no matter how “great” the person becomes later on :/

i mean yes it started a little bit off bc of the rape but the character development save the plot honestly,,, and can we stop normalizing rape in bls??? like ik it can be useful for awareness but using it just to justify the pre -relationship of otps is not okay. i hope creators can mind this one. it can be triggering.
