Oh my god! Thank you so much for mentioning this! As a middle eastern woman i must admit, this manga approached every concept explored so realistically, maturely and sensitively as it is portrayed and experienced by us middle eastern/ Arabs.

A lot of Asian Mangakas really love indulging ignorance about other POC cultures to astounding lengths. Next thing you know, it will be the same blond blue haired man as a Sub-Saharan African. The stereotypes they carry are just as bad as white people's. No research, not even an attempt.
