I'm getting the feeling Akamine had a previous partner (maybe just a work partner or a lover or both, maybe that Saeki guy) who dumped him hard or died or was straight and never knew Akamine liked him, and he mistook Utsumi for the other one that night he raped him. And in that last panel he was remembering the previous relationship. That's just a vague theory though.

I don't really get why utsumi had a sudden change of personality that night... My guess is that he's gay and has a hidden violent personality caused by a traumatic past?
I think after what he did to blondie (which he can't remember), he did it again with saeko guy or something else went wrong, but i really think he also did something.
And those guys who attempted to rape blondie, i think his superior (the old dude on the phone in ch.2) is the one responsible. Maybe the intel's from him, and he knows blondie want to bypass utsumi? and will go to the shrine alone. I think the old dude has an idea of the wrath blondie has for utsumi. I mean why would he ask if blondie's getting attached like it means something??
