Guys. I'm not going to read any spoilers. I get some of you might've read the novel, far more chapters than this, so you probably know all about the reasons he has and his whole backstory, but this is my opinion regarding what I've read until now, and I want to see for myself what happens next.

He didn't even show respect or affection to his daughter for 18 years. That's UNFORGIVABLE. He's a failure as a father and definitely can't take back the years he's been a jerk to his daughter. Periodt. And it makes no difference that he's acting all cutesy now. The mistake has been already made.
