There's nothing to convince though. What his grandparents think is irrelevant. They weren't involved in the raising of Yiyi and he is now a grown adult. The grandparents will know their place. He doesn't need permission from two people he has only started to get to know, they will know not to overstep lest they want to incur their daughters anger from hurting her child.

I dont think the grey haired aunt is evil. She obviously knows that Jinhao won't get He lingwei. Her point about Jinyao was that he is stupid to choose love over power.
