I actually find Kan-chan really relatable as a character? Which sounds strange, but aside from the domestic abuse part (obviously I've never done that).. Like the feeling of hating yourself and your past so much that you try your best to stomp it out, but then you end up not really knowing who you are anymore. And because you don't know who you are, and because you don't like yourself, you can't trust people who say they like you, because what exactly do they like? And even if you get to the point where you want to let them in, you're terrified they'll find out how terrible you really are and they'll leave. Feels, bro.
