Its not a contest about who had it worse, though if what he says is true, then Etty has actually died before....so. Also, even if the eyes chose him, he's still an imposter in terms of being royalty, right? Just asking, not trying to argue. He didn't see how she came back and assume she is a demon because demon cant really die. He is first of all in shock and hella jealous because she got it way better than him.even thoigh their past mirrors each other the difference is that he has to SURVIE THROUGH HUMAN society and had seens it cruelty and evil but MC she was abandoned in a secluded place and no nothing og the evil inside humans. I am mentioning the obvious Not really because they litterally mention in the beginning that only royals have jewel eyes since they are blessed by the sun god and the jewel eyes were given by the son god.not to mention in the legend of the aquamarine eye one was stolen and there is no mention the of the theif being able to use it. And in this recent chapter we see the boy finding two aquamarine eyes not one. And in the recent two chapters we saw her being very dead and it is obvious that magic was used to save her and the obly magical being with her is the winter spirit.
