Yes, not being killed, but not protected by her father and subordinates. From past chapters, we know that not everyone with Jewell eyes had the luck to do what they want. So she not being "used" by the church, exploited until smth nothing is left is due to her father.

And people dislike him because he wanted to shame her, embarrass her after pinching her. People dislike him because of what he thinks about the mc, yes she died. But is she harming anyone? No. He doesn't know, and until where I left my readings (chap 43) he acts like a jerk trying to look better than the mc, so I know where my dislike originates from.

Until he behaves better, my opinion is that he is a jerk. And this my last answer of today, I have so many things to read. Let's agree that we disagree on how we see this character, and it's okay.
