Clearly you have never been a romanticist. Can't you understand that his debutante is a social event, with dancing, and the girl he likes is both attractive, and surrounded by men she is far more likely to choose to dance with than him (a girl?). This entire trip has been hell for him. Let the boy have some fun.
Plus it's obvious that he didn't STOP TAKING his meds. Because otherwise he'd be sick these past couple days as he detoxed, and Blair would notice and make him take the meds again (so that he would have a positive debutante experience). That's why he took an ANTIDOTE, because it's fast acting, and wouldn't leave clues for her to worry about.
