I'd feel much better if Haruto just moved on and completely disassociated himself from the female lead and his backstabbing "friend." He deserves way better than either of them.

She doesn't know about his feelings? He earnestly confessed to her and she laughed it off as a joke yet she instantly, without any hesitation or thought whatever agrees to go out with a nearly complete stranger without thinking twice about? I'd say she's got as much emotional intelligence as a baboon but that'd be an insult to baboons.

Eh in my opinion there’s totally different circumstance in the two “confessions” 1. He was scared so his confession came off as a joke, they were also teenagers. 2. Other guy “earnestly”kneeled down and confessed, plus they’re adults. She simply doesn’t know since he hasn’t told her seriously
1. Male lead's confession did not come off as a joke but she instantly took it as a joke because she had (and still has) zero romantic interest in him. He earnestly and seriously confessed to her. Being teenagers is irrelevant.
2. Dirtbag 3rd wheel was not in earnest in his confession yet, even though she had zero romantic interest in him, she instantly agreed to date him. Being adults is irrelevant.
Just for once I'd like to see the author buck the clichéd storytelling trend and make the dimwit female lead regret the impulsive decision she made without giving it a micro-second of thought.
Their ages are 100% relevant, it reflects what their relationship was like and their maturity levels, as well as their priorities.
When they were younger they were friends who competed in everything and joked around a lot so when he suddenly said that it came off as if he was helping her tie with him in their competition & she got upset and told him not to joke around, so he played it off as a joke! if he truly wanted to confess at that moment he should have gone “it’s not a joke” and confessed for real. Not her fault.
And she didn’t know the second guy wasn’t earnest, he’s an actor and “confessed” in a straightforward way that appeared genuine and she just wanted help understanding love for work since she is an adult who has never dated anyone. And at this point her relationship with the main guy is a little distant considering they haven’t talked in years.
I get it, I want everyone to be straightforward and honest but most people write manga with a shit ton of misunderstandings for plot so in my eyes they’re both dimwits not just her, considering they would have BEEN dating if he just told her, not her fault she doesn’t know.
AYO ML GOT HOED WTF why would he agree to that dumbass plan? that really is some middle school shit: asking someone out for a reaction. Hope they get on good terms soon and hope the 2nd ML isn’t too hurt, although he knows what he did was DEAD wrong no matter how much it soothed his inferiority complex towards haruto. ALSO hope the FL realizes her feelings for haruto he’s been friend zoned for a millennia, poor guy.
