I’d hate having someone clinging onto me and then getting mad at me cause I didn’t want to talk with them. We all have our reasons.
It is very hard to talk our feelings. One could have a fear of talking with people and accidentally speaking your feelings, then the rush of regret overwhelming you later while thinking: “Will he/she/they judge me for what I said? I wish I could turn back time”.
And at the same time, Hoon does need to know why he’s being “disliked” by glasses dude so they can both go their ways but it’s all up to glasses dude to lie or say the truth, no one can force him and that’s that.
Hoon coincidentally saw bawoo- his childhood friend- that he hasnt talked to in a long time- decided to great him and suggested walking home because they probably walk in the same direction-
When he asked why he was acting that way- and he realised he wasnt gonna get an answer he says he wont pry-
Its not like hoon was shown chasing bawoo around the campus
So he isnt exactly being pushy
Since the main couple needed help- he suggested to help along with bawoo-
That isnt being pushy-
Buying the drinks together was being pushy tho-
And no- bawoo does owe him an explanation
They were friends for fricks sake- if he says why then he’ll probably be left alone
Friends or not sometimes you just don't stick that close to someone that looks uncomfortable. Bawoo has expressed discomfort with being touched.
I get that Hoon isn't terrible or means harm, but it's still a type of closeness you just have to refrain from if the other party isn't happy with it. I'm not gonna jump at the neck of my childhood friends if they look uncomfortable with it.
Plus I'm mostly angry at people going off on Bawoo, it's just so ignorant
i agree with you SO much!!! like bawoo is going through shit and probably beating himself up. he doesnt owe hoon an explanation. just because they USED to be closer doesnt mean they have to tell each other everything. also bawoo is probably struggling while liking the same gender AND liking his old best friend. that is so difficult to deal with and i love how you gave facts about how people should not be shitting on bawoo because they would probably be distant if they were in the same really difficult and stressful situation.

No, he doesn't owe Hoon an explanation just because they're childhood friends. He doesn't owe Hoon anything. No matter what his reasons are, it's his right to choose who he does and doesn't associate with. Stop pitying Hoon, no one hates him for being dense.
