Honestly it goes to show the level of intelligence of someone when they can loosely claim a person is "dumb" when they don't understand or aren't educated on an issue. If you read into trauma, behavioural science, psychology etc. you would understand that MC's actions are completely understandable & explainable.

Yes but you're forgetting that she only views him as her Fathers disciple. She doesn't know he is the Prince nor that he wants to kill her. She's quite naive at times sure but that doesn't mean she's dumb. She also believes he's homeless so. Also she has been left on her own, unloved for years. The novel that she remembers has not disclosed any of her Father's actual intentions so she is going to view him as someone who doesn't love her and wants her dead. She was literally put through excruciating loneliness and believes he wanted her dead so of course she thinks the worst. SIGHHHHH I am not really here to enlighten you but since you and a few others are still jumping on my back for not empathising with the FL. Ok look. In this current life, she is confused at why her dad is suddenly nice to her and is doubting his intentions right? But the dad DIDN'T CHANGE. The dad was always nice to her even when she was a kid all the way to the end. It's just he had to be subtle about it but she was the one who couldn't see it and only focused on the negative. That's why I think she is kinda dumb. Ok I can't blame you for thinking that the dad completely neglected the daughter in the prev life, it's only a few chapters in and honestly the current dad vs the dad in her memory has too much a big of a gap, in fact it feels out of character. It's either the FL memory twisted her own perception of her dad or it's just inconsistent and bad writing.
