Jace’s Anxiety/why he stupidly ran away: Noah doesn’t know Jace’s secret which is why he ran in the first place. He doesn’t want Noah finding out that his tutor is gay which depending on how Noah was taught by his previous tutors could fuck up Jace’s good teacher-student relationship with Noah especially since Fred could spin spin all sorts of shit just because Jace near a child and could make it a big scene because Fred is also a spoiled rotten piece of trash and Fred thinks he can get away with anything. Noah is still young and impressionable and who knows how he’ll react to Fred’s words. (clearly more reasonably than his older brother)
Note: Keep in mind I am writing this from the perspective of someone with anxiety so rationality gets throw out the window however I don’t condone parents, caretakers, or guardians literally or figuratively running from their issues when there’s a child sized problem to take care of.
I understand social anxiety cause i have it too. It does make you irrational and insensitive. but that doesn’t excuse leaving a child alone like that. Actions have consequences, Jace still has to be accountable for this. And this is actually a learning experience for him to have the courage to face his fears
