People are focusing so much on the seme's words, but not giving same thought to why he says it, it seems. The coyote proves that his 'trust issues' aren't just his alone-- there are real world consequences for him just even existing, so his way of protecting himself (however mean as it may sound) is valid.

Being pretty is a privilege that you can hide however you'd like to if it's bothering you at some point in your life. However being born a wolf cannot be hidden in any ways.
