But for me personally, I like such stories because of angst and how seme will get his punishment later. That's is satisfactory feelings that I got from reading novel multiple times. And manhua is pretty much fast paced
Does that mean hes does get revenge, cuz like I’d totally continue if there was a purpose after all this loool, dont get me wrong i like angst but i also dont like when theres no character development and the uke still gets stepped on like a carpet.
Not exactly revenge but MC will sober up from the toxic relationship they are currently in and tries to leave ML multiple times, but ML does lots of shit to keep MC by his side, in the process, MC will get more heartbroken and feelings that left will slowly fade away while seeing that ML will understand slowly how much love he fucked up torturing the person who loved him and so on. ML will feel the same shit - not being loved or cared and not getting same affection when given, and there comes good character development, he leaves the stage for good, opens up abt his love to MC in public, clears up some made up shit towards MC by his father and some other stuff.
But warning, before all these, there happens torture kind of rape multiple times, kidnapping, threatening MC by his family and financial conditions to make him stay by ML s side and other shit ton. So it's a long journey till character development lol
