The prince didnt love Louis from the start. It started when he saw Louis seemed to be interested in him. He said he wasn't into a guy (not a homo) but if it for Louis, he thought he can. So he waited, waited and waited for Louise confession. Until the graduation day, Louis still hasn't confess and he refused to be the prince's royal guard. At the end, the prince finally realize, the one who captivate and misunderstood was him not Louis. He was broken hearted and decided to forget Louis by disguising himself at night to have sex with different woman. One night, on the way to a cheap hotel with woman that he suppose to have sex with, The prince saw Louise on the side of road waiting for the duke. He stopped the carriage and saw Louis was drunk and waited the duke. He got jealous and decided to take Louis inside the carriage and sent the girl home. And yeah that night he RAPED him. Louis was drunk that night so he can't remember who he had sex with. He thought it could be duke because they suppose to meet that night.
Note1: the prince knew louis bear his child. He won't hurt louis (by sex) but he will kill louis if he try to run away again, then kill himself (last novel chapter). He said "if you dare to run away again, i will make sure to kill you"
Note2: the duke put a bit drug on louis so he forgot what happened at that night (the same drug with the victims since he's the killer). Oh he used the drug on him not because he wanted to kill him like the victims but he wanted to have sex with him without louis hating him. He is crazy in love. Pffttt poor louis.... if not duke, its the prince who raped him.lol.
