Just like some straight hentai manga, yaoi has too
I mean, both straight and yaoi have fanservices manga/manhwa too. But there this Shounen Ai that is more focused on romance, not sexs.
Yeah, maybe because there is a large demand specifically for BL romance so they made a separate genre for that
I always confused why some people excluded yaoi from romance. I mean, I was once read this translator's note in a manhwa, she/he said that the manhwa they upload was "not a Yaoi, but a romance manhwa". And i was like, why did you excluded yaoi? It is yaoi because it's romance between 2 males. It is yaoi beccause these two (or more) males had romantic feeling for each other. If there is no romance, it would only be friendship, adoration, rivality, respect, or something else that is neither love nor romance.
