Solo leveling is not the first of its kind and it’s a completely different story from this, so please stop saying this. Its kind of rude to the author
There may be a lot of other similar stories but having your webtoon named the same thing as a very popular one when your story have the exact same base is a dumb idea.
It's like creating a story called "really cold" about a girl who was born with ice powers and whose parents dies during a trip, she then decided to go live her life up a mountain or something. You can yell all you want that it's so different because she don't have a sister and her power come from fairies and it's an asian setting but with that title and synopsis, anyone would think it was... Heavily inspired.
Well same. A story named "level up alone" about a weak, poor guy who struggle to pay for his parent medical care whose strange new sickness put them slowly into a coma. Get the help of a weird system after fighting against a strong monster because of some teammates incompetence. Obtain the ability to grow stronger from killing monster like in video games.
There's no way no one was gonna compare the two.
Never said Solo Leveling was an original story, the trope has been known but Solo Leveling is mainstream and was (still is) quite popular. To name your novel/manhwa that is of similar trope and concept after it... Well that just asking to be buried.
If you search this series in Korean or English you get more Solo Leveling content as search results than of this one.
Solo leveling was just that popular ..that when people see another story with similar aspects despite having other differences that makes the story differentiate itself they can't help but compare it I mean I for one did compare the second I saw this. People aren't exactly wrong when they try say that this plot is a "watered-down" version of it.
This story is actually interesting but IT IS TOTALLY GETTING BURIED BY SOLO LEVELING and not because of the story, they are similar in the weak guy l, hunters & monsters and sick parent but the whole setting and context and even system is different.
It getting buried because of the name, like WHYY name is practically the same as one of the most well known leveling/irl-game-system webtboon.
