Sadly Stockholm syndrome is a real thing, it's called trauma bonding.
Trauma bonding and Stockholm Syndrome aren’t the same thing and there was no set up in this plot to lead to either.
PERSONALLY, if someone let me be almost raped and then told me to let it happen next time without fighting back because it made HIM look bad .... and then proceeded to try to control me and ended up forcing himself on me... I’d for sure never develop feelings of any sort let alone be maddeningly in love after like 6 months. Different strokes I guess.
